Diebold electronic voting machine: ~$3,000.00/ea
Gambian oil drum with metal tube and marble ballots: ~$20.00
What's the difference? Both are touch activated, both procduce tangible voting records, and both experience occasional hardware issues. The only difference I can see? Ours has a full color screen, theirs is only available in baby blue.

There is a great verbal byplay on Friday's Bill Maher about this. Apparantly Robin (I'm sober but hyper) Williams made a movie about the Diebold co., with a short cameo by Chris (Hardball) Williams.
Check it out. Although I wanted to slap the Republican Rep silly, she reminds me of my Jewish mother, and Robin Williams acted like he was back on crack, it is a good show.
I'm forwarding your blog to Democracy for Utah. It's too good to keep for only your close personal friends.
